School System Restaurant

School run restaurant, The Eatery, will be closing down at the end of the school year after a decade of service.

The Eatery originally began as a project for special-education students at the Ticonderoga County school. The students went to the restaurant during the day to learn about the food-service industry as they worked.

The school now has ties with about 80 other restaurants in the area where these students can get the same experience as at The Eatery but without the $20,000 to $50,000 price tag.
